Inauguration of India's First Water metro and Kerala's First Vande Bharat Train

Kochi, the business capital of Kerala, became India's first city to have a water metro. Water Metro is a first of its kind public boat service integrated with a metro rail network. 10 remote islands will be connected to the mainland through a fleet of 78 battery-operated electric hybrid boats plying along 38 terminals. Prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first water metro project on 15th April 2023.
Prime minister also inaugurated Kerala's first vande Bharat semi high speed express train project on 15th April 2023.
